Agrabad January 25, 2020: The 42th Independence Day was celebrated in a jubilant and enthusiastic manner at S.T. High School being presided by the Headmaster of the school. The UNO Mr. S.K Majumder was the chief guest of the function. On this occasion, the school compound was nicely decorated with various festoons, colored papers, banners, flags and placards. A large number of students, guardians and local public attended the function. At about 8 a.m. the Headmaster inaugurated the function through the hoisting of the national flag. Sufficient seating arrangements were made. The national anthem was sung by the students. In his short speech, the Headmaster highlighted the significance of the day in our national life. The chief guest took the salute. Some senior students recited patriotic poems.
Later, there were a discussion meeting and a cultural program. Then the chief guest delivered his worthy speech. He remembered the supreme sacrifice of the brave sons of Bangladesh. He also thanked everybody for their hearty participation in this function. At last, the function came to an end with an atmosphere of saturation in the audience.
