Boat Capsized Accident in Karnaphuli
The deceased have been identified as Barkat Mia (25), Moslem Uddin (50) and Amena Khatun (35) in the accident. At least 5 of the injured have been admitted to hospital. The condition of two of them is critical.
The officer-in-charge of Bondor Police Station said that we are trying to find the cause of the accident. We have already finished the rescue work.
Eyewitness Jahir Uddin (30) said that he suddenly heard a loud noise. He then saw several people were shouting for help.
Maqbul Hossain (50), a day laborer, one of the injured people in the accident said, suddenly he heard people screaming. Then he fainted. When he regained consciousness, he was in a hospital bed.
Until the last news, a three-member committee began working overnight to investigate how the accident happened.
