Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) Composition for SSC HSC

Coronavirus is an infectious virus which is also called Covid-19. The disease has now been declared as a global pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO). Another name for the virus is 2019-NCOV or Noble Corona virus. On November 17, 2019, the first coronavirus patient was identified in Wuhan, China. According to WHO, the number of victims worldwide is about 27 crores and the number of deaths is about 53 lacs. However, various media outlets say the actual number is more. Fever, cough and respiratory problems are the main symptoms of the affected patients. It attacks the lungs first. It usually takes an average of five days for the symptoms to manifest. WHO says that the incubation period of the virus lasts up to 14 days. The World Health Organization's idea is that the source of the virus is an animal. The researchers say that the virus is closely related to a Chinese bat named Horseshoe.

The symptoms of affected patients are very severe. Fever begins with a viral infection, followed by a dry cough. About a week later the shortness of breath began. So far the mortality rate from this disease is less than 1% to 2%. Older people and those with any type of illness such as asthma, diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, etc. are more likely to be seriously ill. Coronavirus vaccines are being provided worldwide. Actually, more research is needed on this topic. We know that prevention is better than cure in any disease. Regular hand washing with soap, wearing a mask, maintaining social distances etc. can greatly reduce the spread of the virus. In the long run, we have to follow the steps to prevent corona virus. The campaign should be continued to raise awareness on this issue. Everyone’s cooperation and awareness is essential in this regard.
