Drug Addiction Paragraph for SSC HSC

Drug addiction refers to a strong attraction to any harmful things. Drug addiction is a nervous act. It affects a person's thinking and behavior. The causes of drug addiction are manifold. Complaints, curiosity, desire for easy pleasure, family quarrels, deviation from religious values, easy availability of drugs etc. are the main causes of drug addiction. Horrible drugs are affecting the youth of our country in various ways. Its deadly contagion is spreading like a curse. According to government estimates, the number of drug addicts in the country is now at least 70 lacs. Our youth are involving in various crimes due to drug addiction. 

Young people are entering this dark world because of curiosity or being influenced by their friends. Knowledge about drug addiction is essential for the younger generation. They need to know that this is a heinous crime and harmful to themselves and society. If young people do not have knowledge about this, they can be involved in this heinous act at any time. I have some suggestions of my own to get rid of this danger. Harmful aspects of drugs should be included in the curriculum. The harmful aspects of drugs should be highlighted through the media. The young people need to be given family and moral education and they need to be made aware of this. After all, drug prevention and control laws need to be strictly enforced.
