Independence Day Composition for SSC HSC

Every nation has some remarkable days. As an independent nation, Bangladesh is not an exceptional to it. 26th March is regarded as our Independence Day. It is a red letter day in the history of Bangladesh. The brutal Pakistani army launched an inhuman attack on the innocent and peace loving people of Bangladesh on 25 March in 1971. They killed thousands of people and raped innumerable women. They also killed hundreds of intellectuals of our country. Thousands of villages were destroyed by them. Our roads, railways, waterways and airways were disrupted. After nine months’ struggle, Bangladesh emerged as an independent country. Every year, we observe the day in a befitting manner. We show profound regard to our martyrs who laid down their lives for the country. 

On this day, our joys know no bound. The national flag is hoisted on all important offices, buildings, institutions and shops. The day is a public holiday. Different cultural organizations arrange cultural functions. Radio and television broadcast special programmes on the occasion of the day. Different types of sports competitions are held at school, college and university to celebrate the day. The day is very important in our national life. It is an important achievement of our nation. Now, we are an independent nation. We can enjoy our rights. All the countrymen are now completely free today. They have their own entity as a citizen of Bangladesh. People of all over the world respect and love us for our heroic struggle. They know how much we love our country. In the long run, it can be said that the Independence Day reminds us our bloody struggle. It teaches us to protest against all oppressions. To make the Independence Day meaningful, we have to take an oath to establish a corrupted free and prosperous Bangladesh.
