Primary Education Paragraph for SSC HSC

Education is power. This will bring liberation to the country. Primary education is the initial stage of education. This education has been compulsory for every child. The importance of primary education is indescribable. It is said that education is the backbone of a nation. Primary education is essential for all. Primary education develops the human qualities of a child. It leads to socio-economic development of the country. It develops human judgment. Primary education is therefore called ‘universal education’. Articles 15 and 16 of the constitution give importance to primary education. Initiatives were taken to implement compulsory primary education soon after independence.

From January 1, 1993, primary education was made compulsory throughout the country. At present, the literacy rate in the country is 75 percent. At present the enrollment rate in primary education is 99 percent. But the dropout rate of children is 21 percent. That is why a large number of children are still out of education. There are some barriers to compulsory primary education. Bangladesh is a developing densely populated country. Lack of adequate teachers and classrooms is one of the major obstacles. Differences in the quality of primary education in urban and rural areas are also a big problem. We must do something to improve primary education. We should build adequate primary schools and ensure adequate teaching materials. Appropriate training of teachers should be arranged. Curriculum and textbooks should be made interesting for children. The school should be attractive and enjoyable for the children. Attractive digital classrooms should be arranged for students. Bribery, corruption and waste should be stopped. In conclusion, it is everyone's responsibility to ensure compulsory primary education. Therefore, the participation and personal efforts of the local people are essential.
