The Central Shaheed Minar Paragraph for SSC HSC

The central Shaheed Minar is located beside Dhaka Medical College. It is in front of the science annex building of Dhaka University. Hamidur Rahman is the architect of the central Shaheed Minar. He designed it by combining all the aspirations of Bengali identity and nationalism. The vertical lines of the Shaheed Minar are the symbol of the manifestations of our inner strength. The four columns on both sides reflect the balance and harmony of our united stand. 

The central Shaheed Minar was built to remember the supreme sacrifice of language martyrs who laid down their lives for establishing our mother tongue as the state language. It signifies love and honour for our mother language. It is a unique example in the whole world that the heroic sons of this country sacrificed their lives for the mother tongue. Shaheed Minar symbolizes the national unity and Bengali identity. Before standing of the Shaheed Minar, I bow down my heads to show respect of our language movement martyrs and feel their supreme sacrifice for our mother tongue. It inspires me to protest all kinds of oppressions.
