The Life of a Farmer Paragraph for SSC HSC

Ours is an agro-based country. Agriculture is one of the most important sectors of our economy. Agriculture contributes 19.6 percent to the national GDP and provides employment for 63 percent of the total population. A farmer is generally a hard worker. He gets up early in the morning. Then he goes to the field with tools, two bulls and plough. He works very hard to prepare the land for sowing crops. He comes at noon, eats his meal, takes rest and again goes to the field. 

His pleasure and pain depend on the mercy of nature. If he gets many crops, his joys know no bounds. On the other hand, if the crops are not good, his sorrows know no bounds too. Generally, he lives in a cottage or wooden house. Sometimes, he and his family members have to starve. His children are generally deprived of education and the members of his family are deprived of entertainment and medical facilities. Therefore, government should give subsidy in the agricultural sector so that they can lead a decent life.
