Celebration of Kazi Nazrul Islam’s Birth Anniversary at Govt. Bangla College
The principal of the college presided over the ceremony. Renowned writer Muhammad Zafar Iqbal was the chief guest of the occasion. Poet Nirmalendu Goon was the special guest.
The chief guest said, Poet Nazrul taught truth and humanity to the Bengali nation. Rising above religion and caste, he sang the triumph of humanity.
The special guest said, Kazi Nazrul Islam's contribution to Bengali literature and music is undeniable. Nazrul's writing inspired the Bengali liberation struggle.
The student parliament of the institution organized this event. Recitation of poems, debates, present speeches and story telling were organized on the occasion.
Red, green and white—three teams participated in it. A total of 60 students took part in it. The red team won the competition. Prizes were distributed among the contestants at the end of the ceremony.
