Celebration of Pahela Baishakh at Eden Mohila College
The principal of the college presided over the ceremony. Renowned writer Muhammad Zafar Iqbal was the chief guest of the occasion. Poet Nirmalendu Goon was the special guest.
The chief guest said, Bengali new year is a symbol of welfare and new life. Today we shall forget the past and embrace the new.
The special guest said, this is a universal folk festival of Bengalis. May the Bengali new year bring joy in everyone's life.
The student parliament of the institution organized this event. Recitation of poems, debates, present speeches and story telling were organized on the occasion.
Red, green and white—three teams participated in it. A total of 60 students took part in it. The red team won the competition. Prizes were distributed among the contestants at the end of the ceremony.
