Liberation War of Bangladesh Composition for SSC HSC

The war of liberation is the pride of Bengalis. The war started on March 26, 1971 and ended on December 16, 1971. Through 9 months of bloody struggle we achieved the ultimate victory. We have got our much desired freedom in exchange for the blood of 30 lac martyrs. There is a historical background behind the liberation war of Bangladesh. The Pakistani ruling class used to exploit the Bengalis. The people of this country did not accept it. The Bengalis continued to resist the Pakistani conspiracy. This resistance later turned into a war of liberation. The final movement for independence became inevitable. Bangabandhu called for non-cooperation movement. On 7 March 1971, a historic public meeting was organized at the Racecourse Ground in Dhaka. In this public meeting, Bangabandhu declared––‘This time the struggle is for our liberation. This time the struggle is the struggle for independence.’ At the call of Bangabandhu, a tumultuous movement started all over Bengal. 

The expatriate government Mujibnagar government was formally formed on 10 April 1971. The liberation struggle started with the formation of this government. Bangladesh is divided into 11 sectors. The Mukti Bahini was made up of military and civilian people. Gradually the liberation forces became well organized. Neighboring India extends a helping hand. On December 6, Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi recognized Bangladesh. At 4:31 pm on 16 December 1971, the Pakistani forces surrendered at the historic racecourse ground in Dhaka. The long 9 months of bloody struggle came to an end. Our ultimate victory was assured. We got an independent and sovereign Bangladesh. In the long run, we have to be inspired by the great spirit of liberation war. We have to devote ourselves to building the country. We have to move forward with sense of duty and patriotism.
