Khairul Alam, Staff Reporter, 25 February 2022: There are still several lacs of Rohingya in the Teknaf refugee camps in Cox's Bazar. Most of them fled from Myanmar in 2017. Recently various Rohingya camps were visited on the spot.

The chairman of the National Human Rights Commission said, “About one million Rohingya have been forced to flee for their lives. It is important for them to return to their homeland safely and with dignity.”

He added, “Myanmar has systematically violated the human rights of the Rohingya. The support of the world community for the Rohingya is very important.”

Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, “The government is always trying to get the Rohingyas back to their country. We want the United Nations to take strong action in this regard.”
