Jute is a kind of fiber. It is obtained from the jute plants. It has a great demand in the world market. Bangladesh is the home of jute. She produces the large quantity of jute every year. We earn money like gold by selling jute in other countries. For this reason, it is called the golden fiber of Bangladesh. Jute plant is a leafy and fibrous plant. It grows eight to twelve feet high. It looks green, the spring season is the best lime for cultivating jute, and generally, it is cultivated in March and April. There is a process of taking out the fiber from the plants. At first, the matured jute plants are cut down. Then they are tied into bundles and kept under water. When the plants are rotten, fibers are separated from the jute plants. The fibers are neatly washed and dried in the sun. After that, jute bundles are sold in the market. Jute is the valuable wealth of Bangladesh. It greatly contributes to the national economy of our country. We earn a lot of touring currency by exporting jute. Many things such as gunny bags, ropes, mats, brush, clothes and competes etc. are made of jute. However, government should give attention for the development of jute sector. Scientific way in jute production must be managed by the government.
