There are many places of historical interest in Bangladesh. Visiting to such places bear a great significance in education life. After the first term examination, I along with some of my friends visited Mahasthangarh.
On the fixed day, we started our journey for visiting Mahasthangarh. On the fixed day, we started our journey for visiting Mahasthangarh. We went to Bogra by bus and stayed there at night. The following day after breakfast, we set out for Mahasthangarh. It is only a few kilometers away from Bogra town. We went there by rickshaw. When we reached there, a glorious chapter of old history opened up before our eyes.
Once Mahsthangarh was the site of Pundranagar. Pundranagar was the capital of many Hindu kings. The old city was about 2000 meters long and 1500 meters wide and was surrounded by a wall. Once it was a very flourishing city.
Mahasthangarh stands on the western bank of the river Korotoa. There are some elevated pleases near Mahasthangarh. These places have different names. One part of the dried up river is known as the ‘Ghat of Kankabati.’ There is a museum at Mahasthangarh. Some images, ornaments and pots excavated from Mahasthangarh have been kept in the museum. We have seen all these relics of the past and learnt a lot about our past heritage. We spent the whole day at Mahasthangarh and started our journey for Bogra in the evening. We enjoyed the day very much. It was really a day of gathering much knowledge and experience. I shall never forget the day.

Science has invented many things. Mobile phone is one of them. It is one of the most wonderful inventions of modern technology. It has added a new dimension to our modern life. It has made our life easy and comfortable. We can easily communicate with the desired persons within a few seconds through mobile phone.
The advantages of mobile phone beggar description. We can not do a single day without it. The users can easily contact their expected persons staying in any corner of the word. It is also cheaper than any other communication system. Today business transactions, distance education and some important works are done using mobile phone.
It is playing an immense role in our communication system. Some mobile phones have internet access and it helps us tremendously. Besides, as mobile phone is portable and can be carried to anywhere with the user, it is more convenient that telephone. Since a mobile phone can be used anywhere, people of all walks of life use it. However, mainly businessmen, service holders, doctors, teachers and other professionals use intensely it.
In spite of having a lot of advantages, mobile phone has some disadvantages too. Sometimes, students waste their valuable time and money using mobile phone. They have a tendency of using it rather than attending to their regular academic studies. It becomes a great obstacle to build their career. Besides, criminals and miscreants often use it in their illegal purposes. They can easily commit crimes and maintain their secrecy through the mobile phone. Unnecessary and missed calls disturb the call receivers. Women are the main victim of it. Students can not concentrate their studies because of using mobile phone. They become addicted to it. They forget their studies when phones are with them. Overnight talks over phone tell upon the health of the students. Changes are also marked in their behavior.
In the long run, it can be said that although mobile phone has some disadvantages, it has become a part and parcel of our everyday life. Actually we can not do a single day without using it.
Environment Pollution Composition in 400 Words
In the present age, environment pollution is a very important matter. We are going towards destruction due to environment pollution. Environment makes us survive. We get everything from nature to meet the needs of our life. But we are very worried because our environment is being polluted day by day.
It seems that there lies the universal conflict between nature and man. Nature makes us service. Once our environment was free from pollution. But in course of time, pollution has increased. Men begin to use various chemical substances that harm to the environment. Pollution begins in water, land, air and above all environment. Researchers say that cancer and deformity cause due to the use of chemicals.
Air an important element of our environment. Our air is polluted by smoke. Man makes fire to cook food burn bricks and melt tar for road construction. Fire creates smoke and pollutes the air. Railways engines and powerhouse create smoke by burning coal and oil. Mills and factories also belch a lot of smoke. Buses, trucks and cars use petrol and diesel oil and these pollute the air in large scale.
Another vital element of the environment is water. It is also polluted in various ways. Men pollute water by throwing waste. Farmers use chemical fertilizers and inscribes in their agriculture field. The rain and floor wash away these chemicals and these get mixed with water in rivers canals and ponds. Mills, factories and water vehicles also pollute river water.
Sound pollution is another obstacle to lead a comfortable life. There is much disturbing sound made by men and machines. It causes serious harm to our health. People suffer from hypertension or heart diseases due to sound pollution. It also causes mental disorder of the babies.
Greenhouse effect is another threat to our environment. It causes due to the rise in the temperature of the climate of the world. The snow in the poles will gradually melt and the water level of the sea will rise due to greenhouse effect. This is no doubt a serious threat to our existence.
However, to ensure our existence in each we should remain free from all sort of pollution. So, environment pollution must be stopped anyhow. People should be conscious about the dangerous effects of environment pollution. Government and conscious people must come forward to stop environment pollution. Moss media can also play a vital role to make conscious people.
Pahela Baishakh of Bangladesh Composition in 320 Words
Pahela Baishakh is a popular festival in Bangladesh. It is the first day of Bangla year. It is celebrated all over the county with great fun and frolic.
Emperor Akbar introduced the festival of Pahela Baishakh. Since then the people of this country have been celebrating the day every year. Today the most important feature of the day is that traders and shopkeepers open new Khata which is known as Halkhata and offer sweets to their customers and clients. In fact, it is a very significant day to the all classes of Bengali.
Different kinds of national festivals are observed in Bangladesh. Pahela Baishakh is one of them. It is celebrated in Bangladesh with great enthusiasm. The day is a public holiday. Various socio-cultural organizations take elaborate programmes to celebrate the day in a befitting manner. People wear their traditional dress on the day. National dailies bring out special supplement on the occasion of Pahela Baishakh. Radio and television telecast special programmes. The institute of Fine Arts of Dhaka University brings out a colorful procession carrying festoons, banners placards, posters and wearing masks to welcome the Bangla New Year. Different government and non-government organizations organize cultural functions on the day.
In Dhaka, the first programme of the festival begins at down at Ramna Batamul. Chhayanat arranges the programme. The famous artists of the country take part in the function. Visitors take the pantha and Hilsa fish there.
Different kinds of programmes are organized all over the country. Baishakhi mela is a special attraction of the day. Discussion meetings are held in different educational institutions. Cultural functions are also organized in these institutions.
The day of Pahela Baishakh is a significant day in the life of the Bengalis. It is a great source of joy and enthusiasm. People of all classes enjoy the day very much. If bears a great significance in the sphere of tradition and culture of Bangladesh.
National Festivals of Bangladesh Compositions
Bangladesh is a land of festivals. We have a lot of national festivals. It is said that thirteen festivals are held in twelve months in Bangladesh.
There are many national festivals in our country. Some are religious festivals, some are secular and some are historical. We observe these festivals with ecstasy.
Eid-ul-fitr is the greatest religious festival of the Muslims. It is observed at the end of the fasting month of Ramadan. On this day, they offer Eid prayers. They give charities to the poor so that they also can enjoy the day. After the prayer, people embrace one another to express their fraternity, friendship and fellow-feeling.
Another important festival of the Muslims is Eid-ul-Azha. On this day after the Eid prayers, people slaughter their sacrificial animals and distribute meat to the neighbors, the relatives and the poor. This is also a very happy and significant religious festival.
The Hindus have many religious festivals which they observe with a great deal of pomp and grandeur. Among these festivals, we may mention the Durga Puja, the Saraswati Puja, the Laxmi Puja and the Kali Puja. On these occasions, the Hindus invite the people of all communities to share their joy with them.
Besides, the biggest religious festival of the Christians is the Christmas Day which they observe with a great religious fervor. The Buddhists celebrate the Buddha Purnima with a great deal of delight and devotion. The tribal people have their own festivals and celebrate them in a grand and gorgeous manner.
On the occasion of national festivals, various programmes are held by various organizations. Radio and television broadcast different programmes to add to the joy of people. Colorful processions and rallies are brought out by different organizations.
Bangladesh is a country of festival loving people. The people of Bangladesh observed various kinds of national festivals through the year round. These festivals revive and energize them.
Deforestation Composition in 350 Words
Deforestation means cutting down trees in large scale. Today it has become a global problem. This problem is increasing day by day. Many wild animals and birds have become extinct due to deforestation.
There are many causes of deforestation. Population explosion is the main cause of deforestation. More people need more food and shelter. For this reason, they are cutting down trees indiscriminately all over the world. Every day the world is losing hundreds of acres of forest. There is a close relation between drought and deforestation. Regular drought is one of the pre symptoms of deforestation. Besides, excess cultivation and soil erosion are other reasons of deforestation.
Deforestation causes serious damage to our lives and environment. It is a great threat to the ecological balance. Carbon-dioxide is increasing worldwide due to deforestation. As a result, the world is becoming warmer day by day. The sea-level is rising and many parts of the world will be engulfed by the sea in recent future. On the other hand, new areas of the world are turning into deserts as a result of deforestation. The birds and animals have to leave their place because of removal of trees. Deforestation also causes serious damage to the soil. Because, trees protect to the soil. The soil makes sediment in the riverbed and causes frequent floods due to the shortage of trees. So, if we destroy trees at random, one day the country will turn into a great desert. All animals and birds will not find any food or shelter. There will no rains. As a result, our agriculture will face a great crisis. The temperature will rise and it will cause greenhouse effect. The country will be unsuitable for living and various natural calamities like flood, drought, storm etc. will visit our country.
Deforestation problem is increasing day by day not only Bangladesh but also all over the world. The united nations has already held several conferences on deforestation. As a nation, we have some responsibilities. We should try to do our duties to prevent deforestation process. So, more plants should be planted to save our environment and lives.
My Favourite Poet Composition in 325 Words
Everybody has a favorite poet. My favorite poet is Quazi Nazrul Islam. He is not only favorite to me but also favorite to all. He will remain everlasting in our mind with his writings. He is known as rebel poet.
My favourite poet, Quazi Nazrul Islam was born on the 25th May, 1899 at Churulia, a village of Burdwan in West Bengal. His father was Quazi Faqir Ahmed and his mother Zaheda Khatun. He was a truant boy from his very early days.
Nazrul Islam lost his father early in life and had to struggle hard against poverty. When he was ten years old, he was admitted to the local primary school. He fled away from his home to Asansol when he was twelve years old and became a baker’s boy. He drew the attention of a Muslim sub-inspector of police who sent him to village home in Mymensingh district. Nazrul came back to Asansol and admitted a local High School. He read there till the First World War broke out. He joined the war and later became a Havildar.
He had great merit from his childhood. During his childhood, he composed verses in Bengali. From the military camps he sent several poems and prose compositions which were published in the Bengali magazines of Calcutta. He composed patriotic songs, poems, short plays, stories, novels, play and other things. His poem ‘Bidrohi’ brought about a revolutionary change in the country. He inspired the nation through his writings.
Nazrul was the rebel voice. His message was the message of rebellion. He asked the people to rebel against tyranny and oppression. He raised his voice against all social injustices and inequalities. He devoted his pen to the freedom of country. For all these reasons, he is my favorite poet.
It is a matter of great regret that the rebel poet suffered from protracted illness and loss of mental imbalance. He breathed his last on the 29th August, 1976.

Cricket is very an interesting game. It is called the king of game. In inspiration, excitement and popularity its place is highest. But it is costly. To enjoy the game needs endless vacation and favorable economic solvency. Though it is the national game of England, it is now played almost in all countries of the world.
The game is played between two teams. Each team has eleven players. A large smooth ground is necessary for this game. Other requisites of the cricket game are two wooden bats, a ball and two sets of stumps. The umpire’s signal marks the beginning of the play and the bowler starts bowling. After every six balls the bowler’s over ends. The batsman may be out in many ways, such as bowled out, run out, stumped out, caught out etc. A run is said to be scored when the batsman, after hitting the ball, changes position once with his partner before the ball is received at the wickets. If the ball crosses the boundary line, four runs are made. Again, if it flies over the boundary line, six runs are made. First innings of one side continues till the tenth player of the batting side is out. The rival team then comes to bat and proceeds in the same way. In a match generally two innings are played. The team that scores the greater number of runs, after making all the rival batsmen out, wins the match.
There are a lot of benefits of cricket game. It develops the qualities of patience, perseverance, discipline, carefulness etc. It increases ready wit. It creates international brotherhood. It helps to improve the health of a player. Because, it is a good means of taking physical exercise.
Though it is a costly game, it is very favorite to all. In spite of having some problem, it is undoubtedly a glorious game. Now it is very popular in our country too.
