A small shop that serves mainly tea to the customers is called the tea stall. It is generally a small shop. There are chairs, tables, show-cases etc. in a tea stall. There are two or three boys in a tea stall who serve to the customers. They are well-behaved to their customers. Including tea, different types of food like biscuits, cakes, muri, bananas, betel leaves and cigarettes etc. are sold here. Generally, a tea stall is located in railway stations, bus stands, steamer ghats, near factories and offices. People usually come to the tea stall very early in the morning before joining their work and during their leisure time. At the end of the factory and office time, the tea stall becomes crowded with shoppers. It is open in the morning and closed late night. It is generally a crowded and noisy place. Customers of different ages and classes come here. They drink tea and talk with one another. They discuss about politics, economics and current affairs of the home and abroad. They sometimes storm in the teacup. For this reason, a tea stall is called a "Mini Sangsad".
