Newspaper Composition for SSC HSC

Newspaper is a paper that carries news and views of home and abroad to us. It is a store house of knowledge. We cannot do a single day without newspaper. The reading of newspaper has become a part of our daily life. Newspaper has very old history. It was first published at Venice in Europe. ′The Indian Gazette′ was the first newspaper in Indo- Bangladesh. It was published in 1774. ′The Samachar Darpan′ was the first Bengali newspaper. Newspapers are of various kinds. They are dailies, biweeklies, weeklies, monthlies and so on. There are many English and Bengali newspapers in Bangladesh. They are the Ittefaq, The Sangbad, The Inquilab, The Janakantho, The Prothom Alo, The Jugantor, The Daily Star, The Independent, The New Nation, The New Age, The Sun etc. There are some other papers that are known as periodicals and magazines. They contain stories, poems, essays, novels, dramas etc. 

Newspapers are very useful to all sections of people. It helps to form public opinion. It plays an important role in national life. Sometimes, it criticizes of the government act. As a result, government can rectify mistakes. It also discloses the overall conditions of the country. It helps the government to take decision properly. In other sides, newspaper gives us both knowledge and pleasure. It gives us news about politics, economics, literature, film, education, culture, games and sports etc. It has also made the world smaller. It enables us to know about the manners and customs of the people of all over the world. However, newspaper has some demerits too. Sometimes, it publishes false and baseless news. These kinds of news create miss-understanding among the people. This is surely a wrong use of newspaper. Newspaper is essential for a democratic country. It is a part and parcel of a nation. It is the prerequisite of democracy. It is the people′s parliament. The progress of a country can be judged by the number of newspaper. It is a symbol of intellectual progress of a nation. But, it must be neutral.
