There is a proverb that a person without an aim is like a ship without a rudder. So, everybody should have an aim in life. Some want to be doctor, some want to be engineer, some want to be actor. But my future plan of life is to become a doctor. There are some reasons for which I have adopted this plan. It is a noble profession. More than 80% of our people live in villages. They suffer from various diseases. But the hospitals and the doctors are very few in rural areas. There are a few quacks but they can not serve them properly. For all these reasons, I have decided to be a doctor to serve the village people. I am preparing myself for this profession. Now I am an HSC 2nd year student. I have taken preparation well in all the subjects. After passing the HSC with a brilliant result, I shall admit into a Medical College. After obtaining the MBBS degree, I shall go back to my native village and serve my village people. My parents always help me to reach my goal. They are very confident of my success. I am always inspired by them.

They were deprived of education. But the situation has been changed now. Now-a-days, they are admitting into schools, colleges and universities. The rate of literacy in our country is about 60% whereas female literacy is about 40%. Female education is necessary for getting an educated nation. Because, an educated mother can give an educated nation. There are many advantages of female education. A child will never remain illiterate if his/her mother is educated. An educated woman can play various roles in the family. She can impart himself in different business and jobs. As a result, she can contribute to the family income. However, government should do something more to educate the female.

Bangladesh is one of the poor countries of the world. Most of the people in our country live below the poverty level here. Illiteracy is the main reason for our poverty. Therefore, mass education is essential for our development. It is true that illiterate people are burden of a country. They do not know how to earn well and how to spend well. They are not aware of their rights and duties. Becoming uneducated of our farmers can not apply the scientific method in agricultural sector. Besides, they suffer from many fatal diseases due to lack of education. Social problems like population explosion, dowry, gender discrimination, superstition etc. always grasp them. Therefore, mass education programs should be undertaken by the government. Mass media like radio television and newspaper can play a vital role in this case.
